16,000 people attended the 1st edition of a Taste Festival in Latin America
Thirteen years ago, curious and passionate about good food had a different experience in London. Carried out in an unusual space mounted outdoors, the Taste Festivals were born to provide a meeting with renowned chefs, unique lunches and dinners, participation in exclusive classes and lots of fun all in one place.
The best restaurant festival in the world is held in 19 countries and has landed in São Paulo for its fisrt edition from September 8 to 11, 2016. The “Taste of São Paulo, the newest spice in the mixture of São Paulo” received 16,000 food lovers to enjoy 16 of the best restaurants in São Paulo and learn in classes and shows presented by more than 60 chefs.

The following restaurantes have participated in the Taste of São Paulo 2016 festival: Fasano, an icon of Italian high cuisine of Brazil; Mocotó, of chef Rodrigo Oliveira, an ambassador of the Brazilian northeastern cuisine; Casa do Porco, of chef Jefferson Rueda, the biggest success in the city; Tuju, a revelation in São Paulo’s gastronomic scene; Maní, of internationally known chefs Daniel Redondo and Helena Rizzo, Kinoshita, One of the main Japanese restaurants in the city; Astor, a reference in drinks throughout the country; Adega Santiago, with its great Iberian dishes; Bar da Dona Onça, an icon of São Paulo inspirational cuisine; Fechado para Jantar, famous for its exciting dining experiences; Manacá, the best restaurant on the state’s coast; Le Jazz, one of the most beloved bistros; NB Steak, which has revolutionized the service of meats; Tian, a great name of Asian cuisine in São Paulo; Clandestino – Canto da Bel , itinerant restaurant of haute cuisine led by chef Bel Coelho; and Bráz Trattoria, modern canteen chefs led by Benny Novak and Marcelo Tanus.
